Matthew Baggott is the principal data scientist on the People Analytics team at Genentech, where he and the team work to understand and increase individual and organizational success.

Genentech, a member of the Roche group, was the first biotech startup and is celebrating its 40th year of developing innovative medicines. Coincidentally, the People Analytics team is also celebrating its 1st year as a team. As a young team, People Analytics works to cultivate and champion a practice of asking and answering the right questions to ensure Genentech remains a great place to work.

Matthew earned a PhD in neuroscience from the University of California Berkeley and completed a postdoc in psychiatric genetics at University of Chicago. His interests in the relationships between emotion, decision-making, and behavior have led him to work in areas as diverse as consumer packaged goods, digital advertising, and clinical psychopharmacology. Baggott has over 30 publications in venues including the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, Journal of Neuroscience, and Journal of Psychopharmacology.

Dr. Black currently serves as Director, Human Resources for T-Mobile, US, where he leads the HR function for multiple call centers across the United States.

Dr. Black earned his undergraduate degree in business management and MBA before earning a Masters degree in Business Law from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas and his Ph.D. in Human Capital Development from the University of Southern Mississippi, with an emphasis on change leadership and communities of practice. Dr. Black received the Drs. Jack & Patti Phillips Human Capital Analytics Award in 2014 and the Human Capital Development Outstanding Research Award in 2015. He has presented at conferences and other gatherings including the Academy of Human Resource Development and the Kansas Self-Insurers Association and was recently recognized by the Association for Talent Development with their Dissertation of the Year Award. Dr. Black is a certified mediator and holds Senior Professional certifications (SPHR & SHRM-SCP) from both HRCI and SHRM.

Aside from a passion for learning, Dr. Black also has a passion for teaching, serving as a member of the adjunct faculty of Friends University in Wichita, Kansas. Her team consults with HR and business leaders to develop research questions, design studies and statistical models, and to present insights that are accessible, actionable, and that feed business decisions. She is responsible for T-Mobile's workforce predictive analytics tools, program/training evaluations, and advanced survey analytics.

Before joining T-Mobile, Megan was a data mercenary and project director on a variety of federally funded grants in university settings. She has tackled interesting problems and created analytics/research solutions within many academic fields: psychology, population health, educational research, special education, and communicative disorders. She is always on the lookout for new, better, and different problems and data sources. She enjoys leading teams through the research process to create impactful results.

Megan earned her Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology (with a focus on econometrics) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has taught a number of courses on statistics and experimental design. She fills her free time with trapeze, yoga, and travel.

Mueller started his career with Kiefer & Veittinger, which he helped grow from a startup to Europe’s largest CRM vendor from 1995 onwards. There he helped spearhead offshore development in Bangalore, India, where the previous K&V Lab is now SAP Labs Bangalore. Haig R. Nalbantian is a Senior Partner at Mercer and a founder/leader of Mercer's Workforce Sciences Institute. A labor /organizational economist, he has been instrumental in developing Mercer's unique capability to measure the economic impact of human capital practices. Those capabilities have been applied in numerous projects he has directed for leading companies in the U.S. and abroad across a broad range of industries, including energy, high technology, manufacturing, consumer products, financial services, media and information services, telecommunications, and professional services. He has also consulted to organizations in the public and not-for-profit sectors. In recent years, Haig has worked extensively with high-profile organizations in the Middle East, with particular focus on strategic workforce planning, workforce strategies and metrics.

Haig came to Mercer from National Economic Research Associates which he joined in 1989. Earlier, he was on the faculty of economics at New York University and was a research scientist at its C.V. Starr Center for Applied Economics. He is an internationally recognized expert in incentives, human capital measurement and management and their links to organizational performance. He has published widely on these topics in books and articles in leading academic and professional journals, such as the American Economic Review, The Journal of Labor Economics, The Harvard Business Review, Compensation and Benefits Review, WorldatWork, among many others. His HBR article, "Making Mobility Matter," received the Academy of Management's 2010 award for "Outstanding Practitioner-oriented Publication" in 2009.

Nalbantian co-authored the prize-winning book on human capital measurement and management, Play to Your Strengths (McGraw Hill, 2004). He is also editor of and chief contributor to the book, Incentives, Cooperation and Risk Sharing and is a frequent speaker before industry groups, professional associations and academic audiences across the globe. He led the research team and co-authored the 2012 World Economic Forum/Mercer study of global talent mobility, "Talent Mobility Good Practices: Collaboration at the Core of Driving Economic Growth."

Haig earned his BA in English and Economics at New York University and his graduate degrees in economics from Columbia University. He is a member of the American Economic Association.

Before joining VMWare, Ian was the first Director of Compensation Market Analytics at eBay, focused on the new market pricing mechanism for the mission-critical software engineering and sales roles. He also modeled eBay's personnel attrition level in anticipation of the eBay-PayPal separation.

Ian was the senior manager and a founding member of Alexander Group's Sales Analytics Practice, responsible for client advisory, project management, and firm-wide analytical capacity development. The analytics framework and tools Ian created are still in use by AGI consultants.

Ian received a master degree in public administration from Harvard University and an MBA from Virginia Tech. At leisure, Ian practices yoga and is a long distance swimmer.
